The free access channels offer a rare alternative to the corporations’ seizure of the North-American media. Brainsushi followed the young media hacktivists of the Youth Channel, from their studios on the NY West-Side to the anti-war demonstrations of spring 2003 in Washington.

A portrait of Joe Coleman, a contemporary painter close to the underground whose works are collected by Johnny Depp and Iggy Pop, shot in his Brooklyn museum-apartment amongst two South American mummies, three formaldehyde jars and other oddities we choose not to identify.
